I went to the local gun store and asked if they had the Glock 23 Gen 4 yet and the guy behind the counter said yes and started looking around inside the display case and even yelled over to his buddy "where's that gen 4 23?". So I'm thinking GREAT! I didn't think it would be out yet...

So the guy said "oh well no we must have sold it".

I'm thinking they never had one in stock and the guy's just trying to lure me back to their store. Has anyone seen one for sale at a gun shop yet? I don't take well to being jerked around....

Its not available just yet. I doubt they really ever had one there. After seeing the Gen 4 mod 22 I decided I wanted a gen 4 23. I had to Pre order it & Glock refused to give me a time frame for when it will actually ship. They werevery friendly about everything.

Yea thanks for the reply I figured it wasn't out yet. That gun shop won't be getting business from me.

Ask "David" from "Going quiet", he would know, he has the 19's in stock, and is a member, I bought a Glock from him. He should be able to tell you if they are availble, or when they will be if they aren't yet.

Well, the Gen4 19's are out and about, I don't see why the Gen4 23 wouldn't be. They're basically the same gun with a different barrel and mag. Fairly certain they use the same springs and all...

+1 on asking GoingQuiet. He's good people...

I just got 2 in, will have them on the website in a bit... I can get more too...

glock 23 gen 4

i purchased my glock 23 gen 4 on friday, 09/24/10, and really like it. :D i had a gen 3 model 23 years ago. the double recoil spring does help a little but not that much. i got a hold of a model 22 gen 4 and noticed that handle was significantly smaller therefore pressuming the 23 would be smaller but that was not so. it was pretty much the same size as the gen 3 but a tad smaller. i also added a 3.5lb trigger to mine the same day. it's really nice. the new texture patter is nice as well. it does come with 3 magazines witch is a plus. the magazine release is a bit larger which i found useful. looking forward to getting night sights and a few more mods to mine as well. i highly recommend it to anyone that's considering buying a new glock. :D

how's that gen.4 shoot? I was reading over on Glocktalk about a lot of issues with ejection malfunctions with the 19 and 23 (mostly 19 tho)

was thinking about a gen 4 G32 but maybe I'll go gen 3 instead.

it shoots great! funny you mention the ejection though. i prolly have 200 rounds through it as of now and i haven't had one problem. however i have noticed the shells are coming out crazy. a few rounds hit the bill of my hat. i let my buddy shoot it a few times and he noticed the same thing. could be nothing though. i took my girlfriend to her first trip to the gun range and she freaked out. lol. she had shells all in her coach purse. lmao! they kept jingling all day. lol

Hi guys, I am pretty sure my next handgun will be a Glock 23. A nearby store does have the gen 4, I fondled one last Saturday.

In spite of the attractive features of other .40 cal plastic wonder guns, I want at least one Glock and I think this is a good model to start with. It nicely fills my criteria for a good .40 cal concealed carry pistol. I've shot most Glocks models but haven't yet made one my own.

My favorite pistol at the moment is a 1911 and I tell myself I'll just get used to switching between the different grip angles. I'm not one of those who gets in arguments about 1911s vs. Glocks. I like them both for what they are, appreciating the strengths of each.
