"No less than 120 gr bullet"

Why do the S&W Scandium 340 PD snubbies have the warning "no less than 120 gr bullet" notice on the barrel?

Light bullets are difficult to crimp and can back out during recoil, which will cause the cylinder to bind.

Not only that but......

The lighter weight projectiles cause premature erosion on the titanium cylinder face. I had the cylinder in my 340SC replaced because of this problem. The new scandium revolvers are nice carry pieces but they severely restrict your choices in ammo. You have to find something heavier than 120 gr that will not lose its crimp.
