Just watched "Don Lemon" on CNN (slow afternoon, rainy&cold outside here in WA state) ... what a mistake... he had a panel discussion with TWO anti-gunners (which incl. the moderator makes 3) and kept dropping the phrase "Nobody is coming to get your guns!" and said he doesn't understand the buying frenzy at gun shows/stores right now because "Obama hasn't done anything on guns so far".

Is he really that stupid or just playing stupid? I mean the media is promoting a renewed AWB 24/7 , the bill is already "ready" and Dems cannot wait to bring it to a vote.... YET you are surprised that folks buy every AR they can get their hands on? That's like campaigning for a prohibition and then being surprised when folks start hoarding beer/wine...

Overall this had to be one of the worst CNN segments outside "Piers Morgan". At the end Don mentioned that we need to re-interprete the 2A and that it does not include hunting and self-defense as most people think but is a militia rule.... yeah.... 'nuff said.... :fire:
 
They are probably right...They aren't coming for them....After all, why would they waste the gas....

They are going to have a 'turn in' and make us bring 'em to them...

NY Gov. Cuomo has already called for confiscation of what he defines as "assault weapons" in New York State. Why I have not heard of confiscation on a national scale, I bet we hear "registration" floated as part of proposed legislation, and we all know where that leads. Now whether ANY legislation gets past the House is anyone's guess. My bet says no, but we really have to let our Reps know they will pay a horrible price at the polls if they pass any new gun legislation.
 
Man I saw a brief clip of a show tonight flipping channels "Guns in the US" or some such.. on right before "Bowling for Columbine"... anyway, guy was at knob Creek, being a panicky little {insert word that Art's Gramma would blush over}.

"See that? That's a 50 caliber sniper rifle. The round is THIS LONG (holds his hands a foot and a half apart). The military can't even legally use these against PEOPLE because they're so powerful. Just the round passing NEXT to a person's head will make their head explode."

I shut off the TV.

Idiots are so widespread, it seems that anyone who grabs a microphone and a camera and gets a spot on television is a self-proclaimed "expert", and people (being fools) will believe every word they say.

Don Lemon- another Chris Matthews wannabe.

I watch CNN (know thy enemy) but can only the idiot factor for so long and Lemon is one of the reasons why.
 
I think my new "favorite" word I heard today (from actually two anti-gun folks on TV... incl. Christiane Amanpour on CNN) is....

"high powered magazines"

Lol... somehow they melted hi-caps (guns, rifles) together with .223 (which is high powered compared to a pistol round) and created a new word.

So I guess 30rd Glock mags will remain legal because 9mm is not really a high powered round. and therefore not a "high powered magazine" ... :neener:
 
My favorite non-item was from a Reuters article today. A retired LEO from Florida stating "extender clips" are not needed by anyone.
 
I guess "extender clips" are like "dually fuel tanks".
You don't NEED either but they sure are nice to have...

We need to remember this one. The next time, ANY time an anti tries this one - "nobody's talking about taking away your guns", we need to throw this back in their faces. Someone already has.

I think Cuomo got a bit overexcited and forgot himself. He shot the antis in the foot this time, whether he realizes it or not.
 
I watched the episode mentioned. It was a hack job, Lemon bemoaning the fact it took him 2 hours to obtain a driver's licence, but only took 20 minutes to get an AR 15. When the guest said that was because the Brady Bill streamlined the process by having an FBI call center for the background checks, Lemon just ignored him and continued to comment on how fast it was.

Another antigun guest was supposed to be some sort of criminal profiler and commented on the mental state of mind of anyone who would buy an assualt rifle.

Lemon also went on and on about how it was just a week ago he didn't care about "assault rilfes" and didn't know the proper terminoligy or how they worked. If he had just read the owners manual of the AR 15 he bought or did an hour of journalist research, he would sound like he knew what he was talking about, but then again maybe he's not a real jounalist.

No new administration will consider itself beholden to promises made by the previous administration.

They've ALREADY come to take our guns in this country at least 3 times:

1) NYC when they first allowed "assault weapons" by registering them, then changed their mind later after the registration was complete.

2) California when they registered SKS's, then changed their mind after registration was complete.

3) Katrina. No registration, just an eager willingness to piss on the Constitution, liberty and individual rights.

Not that I think this guy knows what he's talking about and I know Roe are often hunted with 223... but for the same kinetic energy, a heavy and slow bullet causes less tissue damage (if greater penetration) than a light and fast bullet.
 
They won't need to confiscate the guns as they have already driven the cost of ammo so high that only a politician can afford to hire thugs to guard them with loaded guns. Saw .223 priced at just about $1.00/per "high powered" round.
Only the rulers will be able to afford firepower. Us lowly slugs will have to use sling shots......that's ok, we have won with them before!

Confiscation is absolutely the ultimate plan. Google Australia gun ban and see how hard that notion is being pushed by the MSM.
