I just use T-Nuts on the bottom of my bench. This way I just bolt it on/off. Not as near as fast but is solid. When the press is not mounted it's a smooth surface with just the holes. Most presses only have 2 bolts. If your concern about the holes use a dowel or plug to fill.

Before I posted my request, I tried this site's search function and I was overwhelmed with so many threads that it became very tedious to find what I was looking for. I'm new here and not used to the search function, so I tried another query. This time I got more specific results like this one: http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=630373&page=2&highlight=mounting

It was helpful, but I was hoping for more info on where to get the materials.

Can anyone else steer me in the right direction? Thanks...

You can make your own mount if you have access to a break (sheet metal) and/or welder. With a welder you could make one out of angle iron. But for a smooth top when removed your hardware needs to be on the back of your top. Some mount the rails. Nut I see these catching all kinds of stuff and not as strong.

Search for RockDock by a man who goes by PatMarlin. Simple, clever, and it works.

He hangs out at the Cast Boolits board usually. They have a vendor section there. He also has a web site of his own. http://patmarlins.com/

You can drill your own plates, or he can do it for quite a few model presses.

Nanook - I appreciate the reply and thanks for the link. The RockDock looks like what I wanted, but I have a couple of questions about the system. I headed out to Texas tomorrow and I will give Pat a call when I get back.
