Noob question about barrel threads

Why does the Savage Hog Hunter rifle have a threaded barrel for?

Suppressor, compensator, flash hider, or muzzle brake - read 'muzzle device'. Anything that has matching threads will fit on it.

Alternatively, if you're hog hunting with your hog hunter at dawn or dusk, you might want a flash hider so you don't get blinded.

Compensators work by rerouting gas back in a way that pushes the rifle in the opposite direction of the recoil, thereby making the rifle kick less. They are different than flash suppressors.

Your name has "three gun" in it. Do you shoot 3 gun competition? If so, you'll know the difference between a flash suppressor and a compensator. It really isn't a blast compensator because that implies that is decreases the blast when it does the opposite.

A flash hider costs roughly the same as the thread protector they include. Suppressors and hog hunting is like peanut butter and chocolate.
