Norinco 12ga

Reciently I aquired a shotgun. It is a Norinco 12ga model 98. It looks like a Rem 870. Anyone have any expierance with these? I took it appart and it's pretty clean and plan to shoot it within the next few days. Also. Will Remington parts [such as barrels] fit this? Thanks.

This Chinese shotgun is also sold under the H&R Pardner Pump name. While it is a near copy of the 870s, the barrels are different.

I think I saw something about 870 barrels fitting with some minor tweaks... maybe poke around for that info.

Remington barrels won't fit because the Norinco has the barrel support ring farther toward the muzzle.

I've heard reports that a steel tube can be made up that can be used as a spacer between the Remington barrel support ring and the Norinco magazine cap.

Some other accessories that are made for the Remington can be used on the Norinco, but most parts can't.
