They have talked about this on and off over the years and it came up a lot last year, but it isn't on the ballot yet and doesn't appear to be in the list of propositions.

Supposedly there is 80% voter support for it which is up about 5% from 2013 when the Governor axed it.

The Lt Governor is proposing it and he's likely to be the next Governor.
