Nosler Ammo?

Does any one can tell is it good ammo?
NOSLER BULLETS 45 CAL .451 DIA 185GR JACKETED CUSTOM COMPETITON
I just started to shoot .45 and do not have much knowledge of the ammo.
Ammo I bought and shoot is 230gr this one 185gr why is such dufference in weight and what it does?:confused:

CZ-75-BD--I think Mountain Creek is correct, from your description. If, however, the rounds in question are complete cartridges, Nosler Custom Competition is good stuff.

"Competition" means it is set up for punching holes in paper targets; for that you don't need lots of penetration. That would account for the difference in bullet weight.

.45 ACP can be loaded with bullets from 185 to 230 grains weight, according to my Lyman's 49th edition loading manual. The range might be even wider than that.

But the question remains: Are we talking only about a box of bullets here, or a box of cartridges? If you're really not sure, a picture would clear it up in a trice.
 
I just recieved yesterday from Midway some .243, 85 grain Nosler Custom Ammo. Expensive at almost $40 for 20 before shipping. I am planning to shoot this weekend and am hoping for sub-MOA accuracy. Anything less and I will not use it. I have heard good things about Nosler ammo, but until you try....

Yes it was bullets not ammo, I looked up again.
