Can anyone tell me who to contact with Taurus to get the low down on the restriction to 225gr ammo in my Millenium Pro .45 cal? I would like to use 230 gr ball ammo for target shooting. I currently have it loaded for CCW with Remington 185gr JHP. Kinda expensive to run through that stuff. I can't find contact info on Taurus website.

Glad to be of service.
There so many questions on that kind of thing. Taurus is manuals need to catch up somewhat with the catalog which is more current.

Info on velocity in the manual though should be used as a general guide for just about any bullet weight.

+P ammo can be tough on a gun.

See you over at the "other place". LOL Tried to send you a PM over there and because of the 'no post yet' couldn't send it.

Thanks again Weregunner. I have no intentions of using +P ammo, and love shooting the P145. Very easy to conceal and doesn't bite any more than my Smith Sigma 9mm. Shoots straight as well, though I don't! I downloaded the appropriate manual from Taurus on Polymer pistol limits. It is different by 5 gr of bullet weight........go figure. The ammo I want to use is Remington 230gr FMJ but it has velocity of 845fpm vs. the recommended 835fpm in manual from Taurus. I can't believe this is going to be an issue. Any thoughts?

No there shouldn't be a problem like DawgFvr points out.

The manual is a bit behind the times in some ways and that's one of them.

Brazilian issues are bit different than over here. Taurus is being cautious because of possible lawsuits as well for safety reasons.

They say +P is okay in the catalog and then say watch out for 5 grains of bullet weight in the manual.

Taurus .45ACP pistols have been using the 230 gr.weight bullets and not having any troubles. All compact pistols can be finicky with what they will digest well.

Just have to see and experiment with various .45ACP loads as to which will work well and then stick to those.
