I'm pretty happy with the accuracy and performance but I see varmegedon bullets are a lot cheaper and I can get them in bulk.

anyone use these? How do they perform for 223rem?

How do they compare to Hornady V max?

Hi,
I've shot about 750 of the 55gr in my 20" AR, both the HP and tipped. They shot as well as the V-max did. They were consistently 1" 5 shot groups (I can't shoot much better than that. I see no reason that you couldn't do well under MOA if you have the set up), and even during load development the worst was sub 2". I settled on using a near max load of Varget.

I only shoot paper, steel, and clay birds so I can't comment on how they would do on varmints.

Bottom line: they shoot well, I would buy them again, and for my use price is the only deciding factor between Varmigedon and V-Max

I can only comment on the V-Max. They work. On paper, varmints, and deer. There's a current thread on varmint bullets for HD from an AR, and the consensus is they work for that, too.

I'm sure the Varmigeddons work fine, also. I just haven't tried them. Yet.
