I take my CZ compact to the range quite often and until recently, it has been flawless with thousands of rounds down range. The last couple of trips, however, I've been having problems. This happens a couple of times per hundred rounds fired. The round looks like it travels up the ramp but gets stuck in the throat at an upward angle and doesn't allow the slide to come into battery. A light tap on the back of the slide cures the problem but it's worrysome that this gun isn't working perfectly. I make sure the gun is scrupulously clean and well lubed before each trip to the range. Could I need a new recoil spring or maybe a new mag spring? I'm going to try a different mag today to start the elimination process.
