Not sure where to put this; bullet trap question.

I thought I had a pretty good little setup out back of the house... until a fella from way down the road drove up to my house and said he heard something whizz by! Scared the you know what outta me! Now, here's the question...

Bass Pro sells a small bullet trap for .22's. Can a sheet of steel be bolted flat to the angled back side of it to beef it up for 9mm, .44, .45, and .223, and what thickness should the additional sheet be?

Or am I nuts?

Best solution is dirt - they don't make it anymore but you can still get it used.

Depending on what you already have, your fella from down the road might be pulling your leg or giving you a hard time ...?
