Received an eighties Winchester Defender (cruiser, 8 shot) this morning as a gift from a friend after I have helped him out selling off his guns over the last few weeks.

I'm sure there's something better than a free gun, but probably not anything we can discuss on this forum!

... and you can afford FREE, right?

A line from my old recruiters days as in, "The Air Force offers you free medical care, Johnny. And you can afford FREE, right?"

Just got a free shotgun the other day.It is a bolt action Marlin(Glenfield)

Free only in the respect you didn't take any money out of your pocket. But your friend realized the effort you put forth to help him out and obviously wanted to show you how much he appreciated it in a way that would mean the most to you.

In this day and age that kind of friendship is priceless...

...but we do want pics!

Alright alright, just a quickie off the cell phone before bed tho, sorry the lighting is all bleh.

Is that a 1300 Defender? They supposedly feed the Aguila 1 3/4" shorty shells the best and almost double capacity. They fire from the hip very easily also and are available in buck and slug. Would make a good home defender.

It is indeed. We can have a few fun guns on this side of the country, the most crippling law here is the california AWB (after the ten round mag limit, obv) which pretty much makes you decide between a removable magazine, and all the other neat stuff you want. You can pretty much go buck wild modifying a fixed mag firearm, provided you don't run afoul of 922 with your milsurps.

Once you have a detachable mag tho, all the other toys have to go out the window :(
