Nothing like a nice blue 1911

The bushing looks like it is made out of plastic, though, so I think it isn't a functional gun, unless somebody makes a really blocky bushing.
No, there are aftermarket bushings like that, but I don't remember who makes them. It's intended to get rid of the "stepped" look of a traditional bushing. I don't really know why that would be important, but they do exist.

Matching grips?

I think it needs some blue grip panels, such as these blue aluminum "Extreme" grips from Hogue:

why is everybody being so cold to this person with the remarks about his gun, yes it's different but you dont, have to get offensive about it, it's obvious this is a 1911 fan like all of us, with just a different taste in colors, thats what makes the 1911 the best pistol in the world, the possibilities ae endless, lets not be so close minded..

You do realize that all of the other guns you have will make fun of it now. I can just hear the first comment. Hey Mr. 1911, why so blue? hahahaha.

Guns can be so cruel sometimes.

It's not mine. I saw on a 1911 forum. It belongs to someone in Italy who used it as a competition or "race" gun.

Although it's not a great color choice lol It certainly is unique ! I have never seen that on a 1911 ever .

i can't say i'd ever do that to my own gun. i do kinda like it though. guns are such a personal object, you can't really do any wrong to them.

Sorry, but 1911 fan or not a real-life, functional FIREARM shouldn't look like that...no matter what your taste is.

Yuck! Thank god rondog salvaged the thread with that beautiful 1911.

What's all the fuss ?
And here I was, thinking americans were very fond of "two-tone" auto pistols ?
How many don't pay good money to have a chrome-plated slide on a blued frame (or the other way around) ? What's the diff ?.

Gross. Tell me that's an airgun and not a real 1911 which you stupidly coated.

However, that black-slide 1911 in the background is nice.

Painting a working firearm the color of standardized blue training weapons is outright irresponsible.

That's an EGW bushing. It is meant to be flush with the flats of the slide.

The royal blue 1911 is just beautiful. Just absolutely beautiful.

As to the blue italian race gun, ehh. Perhaps they don't use the same color-code for simunitions in Europe, or perhaps it is a dedicated simunitions slide and barrel assembly. Aesthetically, though, it's trainwreck.
