Noveske KX3 on 12.5 barrel?

Does anybody know if a pinned Noveske KX3 on a 12.5 inch barrel will bring it up to the minimum 16 inches? If so I'd love to do this on my next project.

Its only 3.28 inches long. It wont reach 16.1 inches.

Thanks. I also can't seem to find the inside diameter of the Daniel Defense Lite rails. I would like to know if a KX3 on a 13.7 inch barrel would fit inside a DD rail.
