I'm trying to pick an inside the waistband (IWB) holster for my 1911 & 3913TSW and was just wondering if their is an opinion out there one way or the other on a right handed person choosing to use a left handed holster in the small of the back. I think by the time a get a right handed holster in the middle of my back I will have hell of a time getting my weapon out. Right?

SOB holsters are not held in very good favor by a lot of people, including myself.

First, they can be dangerous if you fall on your back. A metal object hitting your spine can lead to paralysis.
Second, it's difficult to draw and present without sweeping things and people you don't want to put holes in.
Third, reholstering is difficult to do safely.

If you decide you want one anyway, get a righty one. You don't want the bulk of your hand trapped between the gun and your back while trying to draw.

I carry a snub SOB occasionally. Right-handled holster but the attachment modified to achieve an angle - the handle is closer to vertical.
I carry in to the left, so that the handle is also a bit to the left of my spine. This way I can draw it with my right or left hand.

Same holster at the same angle can be used IWB on my front left for cross-draw.

I wear a Desantis Leather SOB holster at about 4 O'Clock - behind my hip, not on my spine, and it works great. I can get a smooth draw, not flash the barrel across friendly's, and it re-holsters very nicely.

:)

SOB? Don't fall down on the ice or slippery floors unless you want a wheelchair. IMHO
