I just finished watching "Out of Africa." Robert Redford carries the rifle Denys Finch-Hatton used, a vintage Lancaster sidelock side-by-side .450-3 1/4. Just before the lion charge he takes two rounds and holds them tight between two fingers on his trigger hand. They looked longer than his own fingers.
