I took 20 200gr. Rainier JSWC's with me today to see how well I could do at 15yds. with me recently "fined tuned" Dan Wesson. I'm impressed.:D :D :D

I've had good results with the 200gr (plated) SWC rainiers in my SW1911 also. Similar "holes"....cept of course every 5th shot manages to land some 3 inches away....^$%#^& flinch....Getting better though. I've got 1k of these bullets on the way, not a bad price either.

don't be hasty

Them holes look pretty ragged for a SWC. Mine are cookie cutter crisp. Maybe its the shoot'n'see targets.

I noticed that the Rainier 200gr. JSWC's leave pretty good holes on paper, which I normally use. The plastic targets like I used today don't leave nice holes, but I think we get the point of a nice big hole!:D :D

These type targets don't give you that nice hole like a good stiff paper target does. They are easy to see where you hit if you shoot any distance which is what they were designed for. Thats mighty fine shootin. It may be ragged, but its one big hole. Throw out a couple of shots and its a h*** of a group!

Careful shooting lead and plated out of the same barrel. Be sure you scrub the hell out of the barrel after shooting lead and before you run plated bullets thru it.

Thanks for the advice, I clean my Dan Wesson each range trip anyways. Most likely I will end up shooting the plated more often.
