Now THIS annoys me......

We use a Krylon-type paint and bake on the new durable coating.

Doesn't look like it can be undone. Looks to me like somebody's asking for legal problems, modifying a real gun to look like a toy, gotta be some law somewhere that addresses that.

That poor gun sure looks awful to me, but I'm certain there must be people out there to whom such a gaudy improvement has appeal. Those buyers aren't collectors for sure, however. They want something unique.

Such a makeover begs the question: what did that gun look like before it was painted? Was it pitted and scarred? I would guess yes. Nobody would trash a 93%+ Smith. So maybe this treatment is a way to get another $100 out of a low-grade shooter. If so, I say go for it. I'd like to see one in aqua. :)

Hell, I'm sure you could find a way to strip it ... if you could get it for $50 and the timing is fine and it locks up tight it might be a fun project.

I'd sure try to give it a bath in brake parts cleaner and hope for the best, it looks like its sad.

I think it is one of the uglest things I have ever laid eyes on, however, his gun, his choice. I think what is almost as bad, someone will buy it.

So let me get this straight.....

We are painting the bright parts on our toy/airsoft guns so they look like real guns but painting our real guns to look like toys. Cats and dogs living together.......:barf:

Did anybody notice that in the sellers remarks he says, "We'll paint any standard gun any available color combination for $130."?

If some Good Samaritan wants to take up a collection to pay this guy $130 not to paint another gun, I'll kick in $5.
