I have never seen a red training gun but I have seen lots of blue ones. I normally don't use the word stupid but.... Stupid is as Stupid does.....

Different strokes for different folks. Not my style, but look at the S&W engraving, looks like a beater done up. might be one way of getting a lady that wasn't interested to carry a piece. We'll be seeing those paint jobs that change colour as you move around next. :D

He also might just like getting up people's noses. He sure has done that. Now if it was Ike's carry S&W in WW2, it would be a disgrace to do that to it but just another S&W? Big deal.

I can understand parking a beater, or maybe even some kind of coating/paint job in a muted OD Green or Desert Tan, but what they've done to that poor snubby is fugly and potentially dangerous....

Well, beside the safety concerns-I like red. It needs black grips to look better.
I'd never do it to my own gun!!!! I think it is stupid/irresponsible to do because of the safety concerns. But it is nice to look at IMO, of course I'd be the first to laugh if it showed up at the range.

BTW-I'd take a good blue/parkerized/stainless if I were to actually buy a revolver.

Sick and wrong!

Proof that stupidity knows no boundries.:barf:
Well it might be worth saving despite what it looks like strip it down and refinish, at least its not a cheap future manhole cover handgun and can be saved or in the worst case used for parts.
Whoever buys it better bring it home in a plain brown sack and hide it until its fixed!

yep that's fugly alright!! i did see a few years ago some handguns that were done in realtree camo........ anyone else remember those??

Dang

I've seen mud fences plastered with pollywogs that looked better than that. That is definitely just barely pretty.
On the other hand I printed a color photo of it and laid it down next to my own pistols. Every one of them is already starting to shoot better...........

I just got it...Maybe this revolver went through a custody battle and before being giving to the nasty X who just wanted to sell them the owner painted them all red so that "nasty x" would get less money...Just a stretch...of course I think it's pretty in a different way-when you forget that it's value is ruined. Would never do that to my guns-NEVER.

You see as a child I wanted a red motorcycle, this would have been the matching gun in my 6 year old mind.

Thank God I grew up :)

One of the local dealers has been painting his Glocks. One is pink and pastel green, one is all pink, and the last one is pink with purple polka dots!!! I think he has lost his mind.

that thing was chronicled over at S&W forum late last year...looks like the same one; in the guys defense...it could have been a trade-in that didn't have a good prior life and the elements got a hold of it; as far as undoing his handy work...professional bead blasting and parkerizing (as long as the cylinders and bore are in good condition)

here's an example of a nice aesthetic package that I bought and is en route; intended purpose is occasional shooter and stash away gun for home defense and car defense (keep that in mind when you see the parkerized and duracoat finish)
