A buddy bought a new Remington 700 in .300 WSM.
The ammo he has is 150 grain Winchester Super X Power Max Bonded. It comes 10 rounds to the box. (http://www.winchester.com/Products/rifle-ammunition/Advanced/Power-Max-Bonded/Pages/X300SBP.aspx)
Upon firing, the case necks split about 40% of the time. The Winchester website lists the MV at 3270 f.p.s., which is stepping right along, but the frequency of neck splits has me concerned. The primer is flattened and there is indications of cratering, too.
I have attempted to find a way to contact Winchester, but their website has no "Contact Us" button nor any contact information that I can find.
Can anyone here help?
