I walked into a gun shop, and bought a few items... got to lookin' at a double barrel without a stock when the owner said "If you want it, you can have it. Just gotta do a 4473 on it as it's on my book." Figured why not, filled out some paperwork and I was out the door...
Savage Arms Corp Fox Model B with the triggers and some other parts missing but the most important part
http://www.okiegunsmithshop.com/savage_fox.jpg right between the barrels, that locks up the action is missing

It probably is worth what you paid for it. Is it worth fixing ? not likely .

The biggest & first issue is how are you going to deal with the locking lug which appears broken off from the rear of the barrels ?

how are you going to deal with the locking lug

By the looks of what's here: I would say the last one was just silver soldered to the barrel. I can make one and reattach it, then just use it to shoot black powder cartridges for cowboy shoots.

theres an old joke: whats the difference between a drug dealer and a gun dealer? the drug dealer give you the first one free.

looks like your gun dealer didnt hear the joke

i would send it to a shop like turnbull or midwest gunworks or some other who knows what they are doing with old american shotguns. maybe have them fix teh action till its safe and shootable, then you can do the stockwork

good luck on your project. post some after photos.

I will post pics of the rebuild, just expect it to be in like two years for me to have it done, as it's going to take a bit to get the cash together.
I know I could buy a better gun but where would be the fun in that?
