In response to the many requests for prints, I am making 40 of my images available as large format archival photos. You will be familiar with most from my web site, but every one of them has been tuned to make absolutely awesome prints.

The gallery store site is (mostly) safe for work: human details album is rated R

Some of the RKBA-related artwork:

Original files range in resolution from 3MP/16 bits to 16MP/16 bits. Here's a detail close-up from a 6MP photo:

Image topics include
  • Human details
  • Still life
  • Flowers
  • Arms and Military
  • Animals
  • Landscapes
You will be able to see the details on the site, but the clarity and the color accuracy are even better in real life. These prints are big and impressive: they make great Mother's Day gifts or decorations for your own home or office. I am open to requests for the inclusion of specific images found on my other sites.

Proceeds from the sales allow me to put money into THR and to spend more time on making new posters. Please spread the news of this on your blog or web site, and on other forums.

Book publishing depends on the success of the print store. I need to recover set-up costs firs and to test the actual appeal of the images to buyers.

I think Betty would take a dim view of that. I have a model release signed by her, but I don't feel like getting into any avoidable conflicts with her anyway. Of course, that would not stop me from printing a photo for a friend...but I also think that my newer work is of my better technical and aesthetic quality. She was a great model for RKBA posters, but I don't really have any art photos of her I'd consider masterpieces.

oh come now, Human Details is PG13 at best... ;) any plans for a larger "Quit Staring"? That made me laugh...

I don't know how the price scaling would work, but here is another vote for a larger "Quit Staring" image. Double the size and it would fit GREAT on my upstairs landing.

I'd LOVE to get a good sized print of the Phidippus audax(?) with the iridescent chelicera.

The largest I can do with the really wide images, for right now, is 12x36. 12x24 is the current size, and it would have to be scaled to 24x48 to retain the proportions. The only way to do that would be to print it as a 36x48 and trim the paper. Can be done, if desired.

I have a few jumping spider photos on my site. Which of them would you like?

I found the spide you mention at home yesterday. If I see it again, I'll invite it to the studio...and I will look up images from the previous shoots also.

Got some sales already.

I've had complaints about the three photos showing skin and heard statements of intention to purchase the same three photos
Mrs. Grundy can go fly a kite in a thunderstorm. :scrutiny:

24x48 are the dimensions I'm thinking of for the "Quit Staring" and the location I have in mind. I put a thumbnail in my above post of the jumper pic I find striking. The Lycosa(wolf spiders) pics would also be nice, specially if you have any shots of female Black Widows. The set would let me change the theme of the powder room from bears to spiders.

Oh yeah, there IS a comfortable margin on these, right? I was thinking about a donation to AHR, but I figure if I can get some nice room decor while I'm at it, I'll just buy some prints. :)
