Thanks for posting that information.

I have been sending letters and making calls everyday to my elected reps for the last week and a half- I have no plams on stopping anytime soon. In it for the long run. Keep the faith and keep on telling the politicians that any compromise is a bad compromise- no new firearms legislation.

That's when the new Congress is sworn in. Feinstein was hoping to be appointed to chair the Senate Judiciary Committee (which would be a big boost for her gun-control efforts), but Leahy decided to keep the chairmanship.

I've written my reps a few times now. Try to write them every day or so. We need to bombard our reps - Govenor, House, Senate, local, President, everyone. Bury them in PRO gun emails.

Although you're correct this isn't a draft bill, I believe Biden and his "panel" are working closely with Feinstein so much if not all of this could end up as a bill shortly. Perhaps not, but worth bringing it to the public's eye.

Prohibits the transfer of “assault weapons.” Owners of other firearms, including those covered by the NFA, are permitted to sell them or pass them to heirs. However, under Feinstein’s new bill, “assault weapons” would remain with their current owners until their deaths, at which point they would be forfeited to the government.

So - confiscation over time?

Indicating the depth of her research on the issue, she said on Dec. 21st that she had personally looked at pictures of guns in 1993, and again in 2012.

Whoa!!! She went so far as to look at pictures of guns -- once in 1993 and again in 2012. Yep, she's a certified gun expert. But for everyone else, it'll probably be another: "we need to pass this bill so that we can find out what's in it".

Fräulein Feinstein, we have an established process of amending the Constitution. If you think it needs an amendment -- go for it. No one can pick and choose which parts to follow (and which to ignore). Plenty of people willing to adamantly defy un-Constitutional legislation, even to the death. Then the blood will be on your hands, Fräulein Feinstein.

Easy there.... Hmmm... Antidepressants? Maybe this person is mentally ill. Sir, please prove that you are mentally fit to own any type of gun. Your information has now been recorded into the new national mental illness database. Any of your descendants will also be assumed to also have mental illness. They will all be required to prove that they are mentally fit to own any type of gun. Their information will be automatically entered (in perpetuity) into the mental illness database as a courtesy.
