I'd take this course if it weren't for the fact that that much money decides whether I go to class for a day or eat.

I sympathize and wish we were able to offer Basic Pistol for less. There are other instructors at CFRPC who offer an NRA "First Steps Pistol" class which is like a shortened version of the NRA Basic Pistol class (I and the group I'm with generally only offer Basic Pistol, not First Steps Pistol). 4 hours instead of 8, less material covered but it also costs a little bit less and may still serve your needs.

Check out the Events schedule at www.cfrpc.com, or the NRA's website, to look for a First Steps Pistol class.

The club I instruct at offers the class for $50. But it is an all volunteer effort. The club still makes money on it.

Anyone who wants to drive to Northern Illinois 3 Mondays or 2 Saturdays in a row is welcome to sign up for the class.

Just to be clear, rates for classes at our club are set by the club, not by the instructor giving the class at the club.
