Who pays the 35 a year for NRA membership?

I often get offers of a discounted rate of 25

Also does anyone know of the deal if you order American Handgunner you get 6 issues and a year membership to the NRA for 17.95...is there a catch?

Why would anyone pay 35 with this offer out there?

Also how great are the hotel and various discounts with NRA membership?

I am an NRA membership recruiter and we have a link set up where you can get the one year membership for $25 -

I've never heard of a $17.95 membership

The NRA discounts are nice. Not a huge amount but better than nothing. They cover hotels, rental cars, painting contractors, lots of great stuff. Heck the $1000 of insurance for your guns is the best deal!

I went for Life membership when there was a discount I liked, then Endowment when it was discounted. I'll go up the next two levels in time when they are discounted. I don't mind donating, I just don't like giving a couple grand at a time!

Nobody else has the lobbying clout of the NRA, and no other organization has done more over the years to protect our 2A rights.

The other discounts are mostly the same as organizations like AAA, Farm Bureau, etc. Good, but not unique. It's one more thing I can ask at a hotel or wherever, as in "do you take AAA, NRA, etc.?"

The catch in that $17.95 deal is you have to receive American Handgunner. :D

People might still pay $35 because they aren't worried about the extra $10 because it is going to the organization they support. That assumes they know about the offer at all.
