NRA Endorses Bush, Badnarik Not Surprised

You folks have almost convinced me to change my vote... from Badnarik to Kerry.

You made a statement that you can't (or won't) back up. Then, you blame us for calling you on it, and imply that you will retaliate by voting for someone who you previously stated that you can't vote for "the same reasons most of you won't be voting for him."

Is there really anything that any of us can say that will negate your argument more than you already have?

I would just be repeating what I already said if I responded, and apparently this is falling on deaf ears so I don't see the point. All right, Bush has only one person in his cabinet that has a direct parallel to Hitler's regime, but that person is Karl Rove, the president's closest adviser. To me having a president whose main advice comes from a Nazi bastard is reason enough to vote him out of office. Your argument seems to be that, well, it's just one member of his cabinet... I can't reason with this.

I find your attitude frightening, and as much as I despise Kerry, every time I start reading the circular excuses of the pro-Bush camp ("Terrorists need state sponsors to operate," "We don't have the luxury of taking the time to clean up one terrorist-sponsoring state before we engage in an ill-conceived war against another such state"), I start to think that maybe I just have to hold my nose and vote for the person most likely to remove this blight on the American government.

So I wasn't really joking when I said you folks are pushing me towards voting for Kerry. And since everything you are saying pushes me further in that direction, I believe I will remove myself from this conversation, since I'm not particularly keen on voting for Kerry.

Unless Karl Rove is a member of the National Socialist Party, you have once again failed to show how he's a "Nazi bastard." You accuse us of using circular logic, yet you've got nothing to support your stand. You want to have a discussion, fine. Discuss. Present facts, not what you believe, not a comparsion you've heard and may not understand.

Comparing a person to a Nazi is reprehensible and childish unless you understand what a Nazi is, and how that person's actions justify the comparison. If Goebbels is the comparator, you'd better take a long hard look at the people you're getting closer to supporting. Kerry's campaign is far closer to the propaganda engine Goebbels ran than Rove ever came close to.

And your vote really does hinge on who hurt your feelings or us being mean by asking you to support your stand, you really need to evaluate on what criteria you vote to begin with.

Buzz,
It is senseless. It is senseless to point out that Karl Rove is not a member of the National Socialist Party or that he was born about 20 years too late and in the wrong country ever to have been one. It is senseless to ask for some reason why Karl Rove should be compared to Nazis. Karl Rove is bad. The Nazis were bad. Ergo Karl Rove must be a Nazi. There is no arguing with someone whose logical skills dont rise above this. I doubt Lobotomy Boy could name 3 things Rove has actually done, much less why they are Nazi-like. It is equally senseless to point out that Karl Rove is NOT a member of Bush's cabinet. I dont remember what his title is but he holds no job in the US government.
Ignorance based on firm conviction of right constitutes the majority of Kerry's supporters. This one is no different.
