NRA membership freebies

I always sign up again at gun shows. I get free admission to the show. They always give us (my wife and I sign up at the same time) a new hat. I just tell them to give the hat to the next kid that goes by.

The kids don't care where it got made.

^ ^ ^ This... :)

Also, I occasionally donate to the NRA-ILA, which usually entails some sort of "gift." I've gotten some surprisingly decent stuff -- a "tactical" flashlight, a couple of pocket knives, a multi-tool, etc. What I've received tends to be well made -- certainly better, in some cases, than comparable items with "L.L. Bean" emblazoned on them...

They've made great little token gifts for young people -- and if those kids walk around with something with "NRA" on it, all the better... :)

The NRA cares more about cozying up to politicians than it does about representing it's members. It has taken some questionable stances in the past. I signed up simply because I wanted a free bag and the magazine subscription (which isn't all that great, anyway). Beggars can't be choosers.
