I live across the boarder from you. (CT) My wife and I can't wait to leave this sh#t hole of a state. Wish there was a red state in New England!

I'm sitting at my desk in downtown Syracuse while I type this too you. And yes....it sucks here. My buddy waited a year for his permit.
Gentlemen: I thank God and my parents for the fact I was born in and live in Pennsylvania(not Philadelphia) which is a gun friendly state and has "shall issue" CCW's upon application once the paperwork is filled out. Good for five years and is renewable(the Sheriff Dept. actually contacts you a month before expiration). I can't agree more with the others living in NY, California, NJ, DC and Chicago with their repressive gun laws. Pa taxes aren't that bad either. 
Wow, I feel sorry for all you guys. I had issues with North Carolina laws, don't think I could handle New York laws. Thank god I'm back in Colorado.
When you can? Whats that supposed to mean. All the other states have employment oppertunities. Do you think you're so important in your job they can't get along without you?
I know that all sounded harsh, but wake up and grab the tiger by the tail and go for it. Staying there just prolongs the misery.
What the hell is going on with this forum? I'm amazed a mod hasn't closed this NY bashing down yet. For those of you that live in NY, if you don't like it do something about it. For those of you that don't live in NY, concentrate on correcting the problems that exist in your own states.
Do you and jcwit really think that people are willing to up-root their families because of some gun laws? Yes, NY does suck when it comes to gun laws, but not enough for me to leave family and friends so I can carry. This is my home and i'm sure all of us could find something to bitch about when it comes to our home state.
Who is asking you to uproot your family? The laws are the laws so live with it. You're not going to change them by bitching on this forum or any of the others.
