Pistol permit (NY)

Not sure if anyone has had this situation in new york state but here goes. I lived in franklin county and got all my references, fingerprinting, background checks, and pictures done and handed in. They said you have to wait a minimum of 6 months to hear anything. about 3 months in i get promoted and have to move out of county to st lawrence. i sent franklin a letter officially stating that I moved. I called them up and they said that the state police passed it along to the judge and that the judge would send it to the judge of my new county. My question is am I going to have to do all this crap over again? NY is outrageous when it comes to handguns. Was just wondering if i would have to wait another 4-6 months because its a different judge.

I grew up in Syracuse and I feel your pain. I would think that the process would have to start all over again with the new judge. Classic New York bureaucracy... to bad your promotion didn't move you out of the state.

dont worry. My next move will be to one of the stores we have in new hampshire. I'm done with this laughable NY bull****.
