O/U vs. SxS vs. SxS w/ 2 triggers for reliability

Balog, used gun prices are whatever they are. I wasn't referring to them, but rather to what a new gun costs. That's an "apples to apples" comparison. If a good used SxS is $1000, a good used pump is $150. Like I said, I would only consider an ejector gun with double triggers or a mechanical-select trigger for self-defense.

Pumps etc offer advantages (mainly capacity) that make them more generally popular. That does not mean SxS's are less reliable.

I NEVER SAID THEY ARE, assuming you're willing to pay enough extra money for the double.

What I said was, for anywhere near the same price point, a pump will be a much more trustworthy gun. It costs more to make a double gun, so a $350 double gun will not be made as well as a $350 pump gun. That's a fact, not my opinion.

I also never said a thing about professional athletes. I'm talking about regular joe skeet shooters who are competing for nothing but bragging rights at their local clubs, and who spend their own money. Again, if you want to bet your life on something that experienced shooters wouldn't bet a beer on, go ahead.
