I like the style of the Oakley Five 2.0 sunglasses, but they are designed for "smaller" faces.

My question is:

What Oakley sunglasses style is LOOKS LIKE the Five 2.0 model, but is designed for "standard" size faces?

 :what:

Thanks...

Straight Jackets?

Thanks, Skunk -- looks good!

I will see if I can find them locally to try them on for size.

Fashion conscious young dudes as opposed to skinflints like myself who buy cheap and if I break or lose 'em, oh well.:)

Or, people who appreciate or need optical quality and comfort and will pay for good sunglasses and use them for years. Less waste that way.;)

Buy cheap, buy twice.

Buy nice, buy twice anyway, because redundancy is a good thing! (important with Rx eyewear at least)

PS it appears they don't have them in the CF-pattern anymore :(

Yes, but only to a certain Rx.

Carbon fiber trimmed Oakleys, how could I resist? They don't make Rx shooting glasses for my prescription though.

Plus Oakley has a REALLY good warranty. I've returned glasses to them & they replaced them NO QUESTIONS ASKED.

I ended up getting the Oakley Fives 2.0 Sunglasses.

The local sunglass store had both the Fives 2.0 and the Straight Jackets to try on.

The Fives 2.0 looked better on me -- AND was less $$$ too.

:D :neener: :D

Yeah, I'm getting (i.e. looking) more "tactical" almost everyday!

Thanks for your suggestions...

Skunk, I guess so -- or like I now like to say...my face is of "tactical" size!

:p  :p

i have the original fives and i love them. becuase they are cheap, they replaced the old frogskins.

I use the ZZ Top philosophy "Cheap Sunglasses".
If I buy real nice $$$ sunglasses I will either lose them or break them.

After wearing the Oakley's for a day, I have to say they appear to be of high quality, lightweight and comfortable to wear.

Also, when I went through a drive-thru window today to grab some lunch, the kid at the window said to me, "hey, man, cool sunglasses!"

First time that ever happened!

By the way, here is a photo of the model I purchased:

Tee-hee....
When I was in high-school (about ten years ago) a friend's dad worked for a place that "manufactured" cheap merchandise. -That is, they set up contracts for US companies, with Asian manufacturers. The kind of things they made were things like the "football phone" you could get at one time by subscribing to Sports Illustrated--small, consumer inexpensive trinkets of all types, often custom-built to order in some way. He frequently had assorted samples of products sent along with catalogs from the manufacturers. He had samples of sunglasses that looked exactly like all the big-name ones at the time--Oakley was one, I forgt the other couple, but none of these imitations cost more than $1.20, when the "real things" were selling for $100+, some for $200+. These cheapo Oriental sunglasses looked exactly like the famous-brand ones, except the logos were missing. Only if you looked at the disassembled pieces closely could you see that the finishing was a bit lower in quality.
........
Ordinary sunglasses simply do not cost $100 to make, there's about $.50 of plastic and labor involved, and another dollar or so for the boat ride. Even allowing for the typical 4X markup (retail=2X wholesale, wholesale=2X manufacturer cost) it's little wonder they offer a generous replacement warranty, you paid for them several dozen times over.

I agree with DougCxx on this one.
They may be Oakleys but they are still molded plastic pieces.
Material cost has to be pennies and if they have any automation to their manufacturing at all the labor would be minimum.
I saw a little tent set up in the parking lot of a strip mall once selling Oakley look-a-likes for about $10.00 a pop. They even had a very simular Oakley O on the sides.

Sorry, going to have to disagree...

There is no possible comparision between a pair of actual oakleys and a 10 dollar pair of glasses. You may be happy with the cheap pair, but the oakleys are by far a better quality, particulary in the lenses. Ive worn my oakleys in the desert and bright snowlti ares where I was the only one who could see and not be blinded. The other people i was with all had walmart and gas station style glasses and had splitting headaches at the end of the day, while i felt fine. Plus, I have yet to see a cheap knockoff I could Identify by seeing it in person and picking it up. Ive had my oakleys for three years now, and am considering retiring my current pair as running glasses and buying a new pair.(nothing wrong with old ones, jsut looking for a new pair :).)

Oakley Does do Rx. Their Rx is the best I have ever had. They are not cheap however.

I have to jump in here on the side of the Genuine Oakley wearers. I have had meny pairs of sunglasses in the last 4 years since I started wearing contact lenses. The M frames I bought 3 years ago strictly for the golf course are still great...many different lenses available...and the polarized Twenty XX with Red Iridium lenses for driving was the best $140 I ever spent. Having worn glasses since I was eight, I never owned a pair of sunglasses until I got contacts...EUREKA!

Oakleys are the stuff...no doubt about it.
