Obscure British gun parts

I found a BSA Armatic at a shop recently, and it seems like a nice little .22 semiauto. However, there is no magazine for it. I've checked both Brownells and Numrich, and come up empty. I've checked the home website, but because the British have so enthusiastically done away with all things firearm, I can't find anything except stocks. Since the gun store can't find a mag for it, they are almost giving it away, and I like a challenge

I'm hoping for leads on parts and mag sellers who might deal in the unusual. Maybe in Canada?

Try to find out ( from a picture or trying another mag,) what kind of mag it takes ie. a molded or cast solid body , a bent and welded body like a handgun mag or two SIDE plates with a filler like some of the old REMINGTON AND WINCHESTER MAGS. Once you know the style you may be able to buy a common mag and just fit the mag catch hole or notch. This system works well if you already have one mag and are looking for more , just take your mag to the gun shows and find something that is very close to the same size. Maybe a .22 pistol mag might fit. I did this with a CIL ANSHUTZ , IT'S MAG WAS THE TWO SIDE PLATE STYLE OF MAG and winchester mags fit all I had to do was put the mag latch notch in the right spot on the mag.Was able to get 10 round mags this way. I just did a ( www.dogpile.com ) search of ( BSA ARMATIC SEMIAUTOMATIC RIFLE ) and found an English gunshop ( www.chambersgunmakers.co.uk ) that lists parts for your BSA ARMATIC. GOOD LUCK.

I've written an e-mail to T. W. Chambers & Co. in the hope that they know a source for mags. Since most of the former British Empire has turned them all in, sources don't seem to exist.

Most gun shows have at least one seller who has magazines, sometimes one or two tables. If you can find one that is close, something like the catch slot can often be changed
