In addition to my basic battery (.22, 9mm, .357, .40, .44, .45), I have occasionally dabbled with those calibers that are a little bit weirder, hard to find, and/or expensive to feed - specifically, .32 H&R Mag, .357 Rem Max, and .38 Super.

I have not (yet) been bitten by the large S&Ws, Linebaughs, or other proprietaries.

I love the wide range of choices and capabilities, but really haven't found the time to broaden my interests.

Questions:

Are there sponsors available who will talk to me so I don't succumb to the latest/greatest phenomenon (or shoot with me if I falter)?

How can I hide all my new toys from my wife? :uhoh:

32 is a fun cal & useful as a traing & carry in a s&w 332 (looks just like a 642). why hide from wife .....envolve her, or at least for each new toy you get for your self, get jewelery/gift for her. after 20 years my wife remarks she has so much & hasn't figured it out yet. gl ps have you tried the 7.62 x 25 in a cz52 yet??

Even though I live in Virginia you better keep your distance if you want to maintain household harmony. I probably shoot more 38 special than anything else, but a 41 mag, 357 Sig, 32 mag, and a 44 special have followed me home over the years.:)

Good luck, but you're fighting a loosing battle. The oddballs will get you.:p

I can definitely sympathize with those who find themselves drawn toward the off-the-wall calibers. At this point, I'm beyond apologizing for liking them or even feeling obligated to explain myself. Personally, I shoot 9x23 Winchester, 10mm, and .45 Auto-Rim in handguns and 35 Whelen and 8x68S in rifles.

Guns are like most everything else in life: food, drink, music, women - very subjective. Bottom line is, if I hate something, that's my business. Conversely, if I like something, that's also MY business. If you like a weirdo caliber, and ammo scarcity doesn't deter you, then have at it.

32

I use a 32 H&R Mag when I feel the itch. Black hills makes the best ammo IMO. If your wife asks just say it is one you have had but rarely use.
