Hey guys.
I don't know where else to post this question, this seems like te best place for it, but mods, please move it if needed.
Anyway, as I was cleaning out the ammo closet, I came across some oddities. I don't have them here with me now, so I am going from memory. I found:
A full box of USAC (I think) .38 Special cartridges that are polymer or plastic cased. The case head appears to be aluminum or nickel plated brass. The projectile is a flattened round nose FMJ. It has instructions (and advertisment) packaged with the cartridges that clearly shows that the bullets are heeled. It also shows some funky hand press that can be used to reload the cartridges.
So, What the heck are these things? I assume they don't make them any more, so I have no intention of shooting them. I just want to know what they are and about when they were made. They were in amongst a bunch of old ammo that came out of my late grandfather's attic.
