Odd French Trainer

I have a French MAS training rifle in .22LR on layaway at the local gunstore. It's in very, very good shape with a total of three magazines and decent wood. Does anyone have any information on these rifles? Searching the internet has turned up zero information on this rifle, other then apparantly there are .22 LR magazines for a MAS M-45 .22LR. . presumably this rifle.

I picked it up for $350 and tax, I guess I didn't do so bad. . .only the second one I've ever seen

IIRC correctly these were made on Mauser equipment captured when the allies overran the plant. They are very well made, accurate rifles. The two I've seen came with a durable parkerized finish and excellent sights. One was priced at $400, the other at $350 and they didn't last too long.
