Odd handgun help...

Some years ago I ran across a handgun that I have never seen before or since. It was a full size and I dont remember caliber, but it had the lightest and smoothest D/A pull I have ever encountered...similar to the Para LDA. The most notable feature was the finish...it was blue. Not like blued steel, but like a navy blue coating of some sort. I seem to remember it coming in a green plastic box, and costing around $600...maybe the name started with an A (or not)
Anyone have any ideas? Its driving me nuts.

Not even close, but thanks. It was a traditional DA/SA double stack gun in .45 but the brand not a household name...or one I have ever heard

You mention Para Ordnance, was it a 1911? Was it polymer or metal? What did the grips look like?

found it !!! I'm tellin you the da pull on this thing was SOOO light and smooth, and SA seemed like and accident waiting to happen. I need to find one
