Odd occurrence at the range.

Went to the range yesterday with my favorite 1911 commander in 38 Super. For some strange reason the slide would not lock back after the last shot. Tried 3 different magazines with the same effect.
Then suddenly, after around 60 rounds, it began to function normally with all three magazines.
Anyone else ever experience that happening?

I haven't had that experience.

Trouble shooting, though, perhaps you had some debris (or lube) in the mags that was impeding or slowing the follower, and after shooting it was either wiped out or shaken loose.

Maybe it was your initial grip, a finger unknowingly
holding down the slide lock.

Had that happen in 2 of my 1911's. Swapping the slide stops fixed it. They are a wear item.
