When even the Glock G36 slimline .45 ACP is too big?

...Try this elegant solution.

The P938, 147 gr. std. pressure ammo, and Galco Stow-N-Go IWB holster.

For me, it has been outstanding.

The P938 has a good crisp trigger, is extremely reliable, and very precise, like < 6" at 25 yards.

It is also very comfortable to shoot one-handed, with a two-finger grip, with the std. pressure 147 gr. ammo.

Grease the rails and shoot the piss out of it, and it runs like a Swiss watch.

It is my "tuxedo" pistol.

Then carry it in the light weight and comfortable Galco Stow-N-Go IWB holster.

The trick to suede is to first treat it w/ Sno-seal, and then silicone.

A thick coat of Sno-seal on the inside and then bag it up and leave it on a hot dash board for a day.

Then wipe out the residue with paper towels.

Then spray it with a liberal coat, inside and out, with silicone spray and let dry/cure for a day or so outside (until it quits stinkin')

The holster will be soft, supple, and moisture/sweat-proof, and will conform to the pistol without breaking down and losing it's shape.

For the P938 holster, one extra step is required - the last 1-1/4" of a McDonald's plastic knife handle.

Because of the wider slide over the frame, the pistol will wiggle in the holster w/o any additional support.

The plastic knife handle has a raised curb that, when put between the holster and the clip mount, round end up and curb into the leather, opposite the frame rail, will dog into the leather and create a frame support that will solidly stabilize the pistol in the holster.

So that it carries secure and comfortable.

Great micro rig.

I rented one from the local range, was surprised how nice it shot. Accurate and it seemed to tame 9mm recoil in a small gun.

The only reason i don't own one is all my training has been with guns with no external safeties, revolvers and Glocks. Thumbing down a safety is just not a no thought action for me at this time. In a high stress situation you tend to do what you trained to do, even if it was a while ago.

Very nice combo you've got there!

Glad you like it! I've tried to like one a few times and came darned close to buying one after a few range trips.

But ultimately my Glock 26 carries almost as well and I shoot it much better.

I put the G26 in the same class as the G36 .45 ACP.

A little shorter in the slide, a little fatter in the grip, similar loaded wt..

The P938 is a magnitude smaller, thinner, and 25% lighter (not counting the ammo wt. of the bigger mag).

Correct. Just too big for pocket and with my clothes not any easier to conceal.

Like the 36 too, still wish I had snagged one on a great deal I had a long while back.

Range buddy has both (G26/G36), and prefers the G26.

Have G23's and G36's. They are "mama bears" to me (with the Rhinoplasty).

You are correct about the P938 pocket-carry.

Great in a Stow-N-Go, forget it's there. But would go to a Ruger LCP II for the pocket.

You know I am only guessing but I suspect the P365 will push these guns into the less desirable class. There may be good opportunities in the future to pick up a second at really good prices.

I will likely buy at least one more P365 if not more. I am also Jonesing for a P938 Legion. I may talk myself out of the P938 but I like everything I have seen to this point. If all the stars and planets line up just right the P938 Legion will come home with me in the future.

I should be upfront about an issue on my Legion. The finish seems to be chipping off of the slide on the rails, particularly where the slide stop contacts the slide. It isn’t visible unless the gun is disassembled, but chipping bothers me rather than just wear.

I’m going to keep an eye on it, but the gun functions perfectly.

Just surprised me is all.

You can have a P938. I'm finally selling mine. Not precise in my hands, as much as I tried to like it. I could only get a 3" circle at 7 yards, no matter how many different ammo/manufacturers I tried with it, and, to make it worse, I constantly shot right and high with it. Not with other guns, though, and not with a P238. Go figure.

While probably serviceable - not very desirable.

What ammo are you shooting?

Mine, w/ 147 gr. Speer Lawman ball/ Federal HST/ Winchester Ranger-T, will shoot better than half that MOA out to 25 yards.
