Officers ACP question

What are the original grips for the Colt officers ACP?

Did all of them have medallion wraparound grips or were there variations?

I have one that did not come with factory grips, but crimson trace instead. I replaced them with wood grips but am not thrilled with them, so I would like to go back to whatever came on it originally.

Original factory grips for my Officers ACP Model were fully checkered walnut with a gold medallion. I sometimes switch them off with cut down Pachmayr grips with the Colt medallion.

Some of us have the made for the Officer's Pachmayr grips.

Now, if I have a custom shop model would it vary? I have only found a couple images of the model I have with LOTS of varying info. They favor this image, that's why I mentioned wrap around grips.

Well, that does change the question substantially from the OP.

The McCormick Officer ACP was a special run for Lew Horton.

What made it stand out was the hard chrome finish, the McCormick Hammer and the machined top rail. One had the McCormick thumb safety and the other had the regular thumb safety...the boxes were marked to reflect which safety they left the factory with

I've only seen a couple in person and they both had the rubber grips with the Colt Medallion.

I was wrong about the grips being from Sile.

They are R.J.Renner "Radical" grips

Probably the cheesiest ever put on a Colt. Are you sure about going that far back to stock? Pachys at least a better choice in all respects. Or Kimber rubber compacts. For cheap finger relief, cut 1/2 " out of rubber frontstrap under triggerguard. You'll like it.

If you want the rubber grip look I would go with a cut down wrap-around set from Pachmayr with the Colt medallion on them.
