So, some funds have cleared. :uhoh: :D

I'll either be obtaining that 44ss4 tomorrow locally, or getting ffl PW setup to do so within 48 hours !

2 new pieces in my house in a month, and I'm STOKED !

I also just plunked about $300 at midway on new dies for it, bullet boxes , bullets, starline brass, and more.......

Its like friggin Christmas in April over here !

Don't really have anyone else to tell, and figured I'd pass on my enthusiasm ( at 2:48am local ) to those that might share it !

OH

And tomorrow is a range day..... more QT with the wife and that new kimber of hers.....the smiles of new pistol ownership will have two faces to cross soon !

You will probably get it before the reloading supplies. Are you going to wait to shoot it and only use your own reloaded ammo or cave and buy a couple boxes??:neener: I would wait, as the whole thing would be that much sweeter when I pulled the trigger.:D

Congrats, new toys to explore are always a fun time.:)

I dunno frogo....while being a roll your own virgin gun....... it will be very tempting to use it when I get it. we'll have to see.

If I do pop a few before loading, it would be premium SD ammo...the remains of which would be set aside for nightstand use.

I was able to get 500 starlines in brass in on that midway order though...... as well as the first two bullet types I wanna try : 240gr nosler JHP's, and 300 Hornady XTP's.... so thats a toughy !

Taurus coats everything in Cosmoline or however you spell it. Be sure to clean it thoroughly, including taking the side plate off and cleaning everything in there, too. Then lubricate with your favorite gun oil.

If you haven't done it before, there are good videos on youtube for removing the side plate without damaging the mated edges.

Congrats on your new firearms and accessories!

The awesome responsibility of firearms ownership is one that never rests.

The weight of that burden is lessened only by the beauty of the tools that ensure its heft for the generations yet to come.

Just LOVE to split gallon milk jugs open.
They peel like a banana.

Of course the milk is consumed & they're refilled with water. :scrutiny:

It was totally coated in cosmoline, that is a true statement !

It was dripping out of the trigger housing !

Shot it today.... it also needs some sight adjustment.

Now, just waitin on that box from midway..........

Don't you just love it when you have extra cash igniting your front pocket? Looks like a dandy! I'm going to Vegas in a week, see how things go this year, if like last year, will have some "ignition paper" in my wallet when homecoming arrives, might have to procure one of these. Let us know how it acts at the range!
