OH Concealed Carry for PA Resident

I know this has been covered before, but most posts are pre-2006 so I wanted to get updated information.

I have PA CC and would like to obtain Ohio. It would appear that the best route is Florida (which appears to grant non-resident permits and enjoys reciprocity with Ohio).

Anyone try this route recently?

Any suggestions about how best to do it (information to include in the request, etc)?

Yeah. Utah.


It costs a little less for the initial permit. But it costs a LOT less for renewals.

And it covers just as many, if not one or two more, than Florida's. What part of the state are you located?

I live just north of Pittsburgh, so the OH border is only a half hour or so away.

Thank you for the alternative. There is a lot of overlap in the FL and PA permits, so perhaps UT will result in a better overall coverage in addition to the cheaper cost.

You'll need to find someone to give you the class you need for the permit. There's an instructor locator database on Utah's site, but I understand that the FIRE Institute in Pittsburgh can give it to you.
