Rat Rod---olde skool, home garage mods American cars, souped up, sometimes with Bubba fab work, usually painted in flat paint colors, designed to scare the beejeezis out of the American populace, piss off the police and go reeeeeal fast...:D

Buddy of mine used to have a 16.5" bbl 30-06, and it was like shooting a 12 ga. double, and made your eyes water and ears ring for two days, that thing must be awful.

In fairness I have seen worse. That one at least still constitutes a "firearm" in some sense. There is a receiver, and sights. I've seen them that have been hacked beyond the capacity to be fired. Sights welded on off center in a drunken stupor, barrels bent, actions attacked by apes with ball peen hammers. At some point they almost become a form of modern art.

That's about as custom as it gets. It's almost worth it to buy, and use as a campfire stoker. You can be the first kid on the block to have one.

Good humor, but I don't like to see stuff like that done to surplus rifles. Best to leave them stock.

Wouldn't that cocking piece ring hit you in the nose with each shot?

I'm not a real art lover, but it seems to me that it needs some really well done engraving to make it beautiful! You guys that are ragging it just don't have a clue about art!

If I read it correctly, the auction has ended, the reserve was not met, and the last bid was $175.00. If that's correct, somebody oughta be indicted for criminal stupidity for bidding $175.00 on it.
