being a 1911 and ruger auto fan (with some props to the few glocks ive shot) i shunned the xd's as long as possible. but i can do it no longer. i got a sweetheart deal on an xd45 a few weeks ago and have fallen in love! i have tried to jam, fte, ftf, or just plain give this gun an emotional complex, but i simply cant. it shoots true and is every bit as reliable as anything i have ever shot.

phase forward....

i snagged an xd9. i dont even like 9mm's. sigh....points like my kimbers and shoots at least as well as anything i have. why oh why did i hold out so long?

ok i wont belabour the point too long...if you are thinking about an xd do it! great job springfield!

Good for you on finding a great shooter, I'm on my second XD this time a bi-tone subcompact .40s&w check out xdtalk sometime

The ergonomics of the XD line are perfect for me. They fit my hand like they were made for me. Because of that I shoot it very well.

How much do I think of the XD? I would buy another before I bought a Sig or HK. Nothing against those brands, they are outstanding.

The bottom line is that I shoot the XD better and hitting the target is job one.

I don't own one, but every time I shoot one, I like it and I shoot well with it.

Their .40's are especially impressive shooters to me.

I might have to give the XD.45 a try.

XD feel fine

I also, stayed away from XDx for a long time. I have two now. The XD fits my hand better than my Glocks, the XD has a fully supported chamber and conventional rifling so i can shoot lead. The trigger is excellent and it shoots accurately. Whats it not to like. :)

I started shooting when I was about 10 years old. My father used to take me to the range. When I turned 21 I had my heart set on a Glock. As much as I hate to admit it, I think it was more of a name thing than really knowing what I should get.

I walked into the range and asked to rent a Glock 19. The guy behind the counter said "Hey, give this a try." and he handed me a compact XD9. Needless to say, a week later, I bought one. Picked up the sub XD9 a year later for conceal carry.

I did eventually pick up a used Glock 22 and sold it a year later. Nothing compares to my XDs.

i lov emy xd, it has over 11k rds through it, and still going strong. I love the fact that it is so much like the 1911, and i can easily go form shooting one at the range to shoting the other with no problem.
