I just wanted to throw out a quick update...

The April 18-19 Vienna, OH event is now sold out. There are just a few spots left open at the April 19 Athens, OH event.

I hope to meet you on an Ohio firing line!

We had absolutely great events in Vienna and Athens.

I can speak to Athens.

During Saturday morning's welcome and safety briefing, I counted 13 women and 9 children. By my math, that makes up close to 50% of the total attendees! Incredible! It was a pleasure to work with each and every participant... but especially these fine folks. There was one very mature young lady (Leah) that did not stop grinning the entire weekend, worked her single-shot bolt action with a consistent and efficient flurry, and made great hits! Her smile was contagious.

Leah's Dad is one of our new Riflemen! (We added four this past weekend in Athens.)

Leah's Mom was very proud and will get a Rifleman patch of her own one day soon!

Another young lady was a master of the field shooting positions immediately! Even the dreaded "seated" position we all struggle with at first.

The participants seemed to really take to heart all history presentations. I saw quite a few misty eyes in the crowd when they heard about Isaac Davis and his wife Hannah.

Leah and Seth's mother (who should be extremely proud of both) approached me at the end of the weekend and asked if I would present history to their Home Schooling Association near Athens. Angie, an elementary school teacher near Cincinnati, asked later if I would speak in a Fourth Grade Social Studies class. It would be an honor for any of us to discuss history wherever and whenever we can, especially to youth. I can't wait to follow up on these requests.

I hope to see you at an Appleseed event sometime soon! NE, SE, SW, NW - we have locations all over Ohio. Women, Children under 21, and Active Duty Military attend for free!

The one we just had was great,:D
it was not our normal way of shooting (prone) so we were worn slap out by days end. 9-6 we were there. my back hurt so much sunday i couldnt make it:(
On the army test my daughter (13) scored 169 out of 210,:neener: I thought that was great, she was burned out by 4pm.:)

FYI bring a good gun (one that takes a mag) as you will be changing mags a lot 8 shot and 2 shot volleys
i took a lever gun and it was a pain:banghead:.
