Ohio bill requires confiscated firearms be sold at auction or to firearms dealers

The bill strikes all language that would allow local authorities to destroy firearms and inserts language requiring them to sell them either at auction or to a federally licensed firearms dealers.

Gotta love that in this country! Hopefully this will pass into law and catch on elsewhere.

WV passed this law last year. The only guns that can be destroyed are things like illegally converted f/a or guns that are in such bad condition that they aren't safe to fire.

This seems like a no brainer. All municipalities are hurting for money, they sell every other asset they seize. Guns, despite everything you hear, are not an illegal substance, and should be sold like every other commodity.
