I assume you speak of turnpike plazas? As I recall, those are not run by state employees, but contracted businesses. I have not been at a trunpike plaza in years, if not decades. Are they posted?

Last time I traveled the Ohio (Gouge-Pike)*** Turnpike, the rest stops/travel plazas were posted.

***Have you bought anything in one of those "Travel Plazas"???? They almost price-gouge as well as the food places in most large commercial airports....

Even a higher premium price {+10% or so} for name-brand already premium-priced things. Sheeeeeeshhhhh

[Hey, congratulations guys. Now if only Illinois would follow your example and even pass CCW laws, I would be happy.

We The People....,

that's what will get things changed in IL. The People have GOT to band together and throw the anti gun politicians out of office. Until that happens.....,

I have got to encourage every law abiding citizen of Illinois to get involved with your best state level 2nd Amendment rights organization. I don't know which one that is, so investigate that first. Whoever is spending the most time in your Statehouse, is probably it. Give them your time working on pro gun candidates campaigns, contribute to them with both time and money. Your rights don't come free, so put your money and time where it will help the most.....by throwing the bums out of office.

Congrats to all Ohioans !
Now if you could please replicate that sound thinking and export a bit of it to NJ I and many others here in NJ would be eternally grateful ! :D :p

I don't care for the added and updated definition of what is "loaded", but otherwise a small improvement for us. Still much to do.

D-Day, the previous law, if interpreted literally, prevented a person from transporting ammunition and firearm in the same vehicle. It was not enforced literally as a matter of practicality. The new wording clarifies the way you transport. Gun and mags/speedloader need to be empty. I think that's a lot more clear than the previous law, and contrary to the FOP belief, is not a danger to the cops or general public.

One of the things that worried me most got fixed in Castle Doctrine...

Suppose I had to use a defensive weapon...no matter if at home or out-and-about...

Said miscreant's family-n-friends then sue me into oblivion and bankruptcy, ending up with all of {Previously} my stuff and home.

That is the way that law should be....If the Prosecutor/Grand Jury/whoever decides such things rules "Good Shoot", that is the end of discussion.

Hey, nobody ever sued the "Middle Ages" Castle Defenders that poured boiling oil over the invaders.........

Now, if I can make that 10-gallon "Boiling Oil Cauldron"....

The OEA has already started bitching about it . My wife is a teacher and she got this message from the OEA...

"The Senate and House have approved SB 184, which will make a number of changes to Ohio’s concealed carry law, including allowing parents to drive into a school zone to pick up their children while carrying a concealed weapon, so long as it does not leave the car. The OEA opposed this measure, which will create an unnecessary risk to school safety."

I just love the way they want to make it all about SAVING THE CHILDREN.

I guess the OEA should have showed up at the Statehouse to testify against it then. Not that we gave them much time or notice to do that. hehehe:rolleyes:
