I got word today from Ms. Jennifer Koperdak, my local rep's assistant, that the previous gun bill I had developed has finally passed the senate last night. This was the old HB450. I started working on this bill back roughly in february 2007. It has been changed a little bit from how I wrote it out to be, but the fundemental point is still there. here is the bill as it was, note that it has been slightly modified but generally the same.

It was passed unanimously at roughly 1am this morning. I was told that the NRA attacked it for increasing some kind of fee slightly. Im not sure what that is about, but if i just raised prices on CCW permits Im really sorry . Anyway hopefully this will be a trend across the nation now, and we can start getting a little more agressive as time goes by. As people always say " our 18 year old soldiers can fight and die for us, but they cant drink or own a handgun " Well Im proud to have my part in crushing at least half of that complaint. Anybody know how to get your Name on these bills as a nickname bill that would actually be pretty cool. my local paper caught wind of what I did (thanks dad) and are doing a story about it tomorrow. Im just glad i had the chance to actually make a difference in the state, and hopefully the nation. Thank you all for supporting our rights too.
