Dumb question......would migratory birds return to the exact same area instinctively....or try to avoid contaminated nesting sites next fall and relocate?

But it seems plausible.

Stipulate crossed fingers: This morning's news sez that they're getting ready to set the containment dome in place to control the outflow from the well.

Terrorist bombs? Haven't we envisioned those for years? (Okay, those of us who believe that there are indeed a fair number of folks out there who are willing.)

Water main problems? Hmmm. None are to be expected in ancient infrastructure? Duh?

Weird behavior of people? Hasn't that been a daily event for centuries?

What's changed? The quantity of news items and the rate of promulgation, thanks to the Internet.
