I don't know about you guys but my day was not pleasant. Accountant problems - long story short, there were problems that should have been anticipated - but weren't - with the result that I wasted the entire day fighting to get our federal and 2 states-worth of income taxes filed.

As a result, I didn't get a darn bullet made today, for the first time in recent memory. But the night shift showed up on schedule and now we're back in production, with a vengeance. We're going to run at least 75k tonight and be able to fill all open orders, some of which are as old as 2 days now.

So, I was just thinking to myself what a waste today was and how oppressive our tax code is. The hard working people fight every day to put food on their tables and have to pay for those who maybe don't work so hard. A break from this action would be nice, wouldn't it?

Special discount, for no particular reason, for THR people only - for about the next 30 hours you are all eligible for a one-time 10% discount.

Discount code is BostonHarbor just exactly as you see it. It works. If it "doesn't work", then you're entering it wrong and please don't bother me because I'm busy making bullets and don't have time to baby-step you through the process of entering a discount code.

Why that particular discount code? Why, it's in memory of those zany Indians who wasted all that fine British tea a couple of centuries back, don't you see?

Flat Tax time! I saw a report on one of the news channels that a 11% Flat tax would cover every needed tax amount ... no exemptions... If you make 1 dollar you pay $.11 .
The illegals and the rich would pay... no hiding!!

?

And I agree I hate paying taxes as well as getting them done, but why wait till the 15, and to bypass frustration why didn't you file for an extension? Brad I don't mean to pick on you by any means but it blows my mind on why people wait till the 15th, it comes every year.

I like the sale though and keep up the great work, and I'll tell you like my accountant told me this year, "Nathan, March 1st or your butt". I too ran behind but can't imagine trying to get my corporate and personal taxes done day of.....

Brad, glad to help out a great company! And don't feel bad, I am getting the smallest tax refund as far as I know for 2009. :cuss: - I share your pain.

Just placed the order for another 7K in 9/40/45 - Since I got plenty of bullets already, you can take your time on my order :D

Keep up the great work!

..wasn't me that waited, Nate. Things should have been ready to go a couple of weeks ago but some mistakes were made that had to get backed out. There was a special circumstance this time that was complicated and I think we overwhelmed our rural bookkeeper with the pure volume of our business. Believe it or not, we picked up our "completed, ready-to-be-mailed" returns two times over the past few weeks before today (today made the third and fourth time) only to discover that they weren't nearly complete. So it took 4 tries (and all of my time today) to get it right. But we're there now and everybody's paid.

There was really no reason to file for an extension as we needed to know how much to send to the 3 taxing entities or face penalties. So, if we could get to those numbers, we have all the information needed for the returns as of the moment we derive the numbers.

awesome!

Ordered 1k of fprn and lswc in 45 a month ago and was quite impressed. I was thinking about getting some more and this pushes me over the edge.

Thanks Brad!

Gotcha, I had 3 guys at work today scrambling to get theirs done, I kind of laughed. Like I said I disagree with the code and commend your sale.

Ditto--I paid my 10 quarts of blood today that my first run-through suggested I owe. I extended, and will now spend the next 6 months trying to figure out how to deduct my way into getting some of my money back!

Great idea for the discount, Brad. If I ever get into reloading, I will definately give your company a shot.

Well, it's interesting - as noted by Jim Quinn of Quinn & Rose - that Russia has the 17% Steve Forbes Flat-Tax and America has the Karl Marx Progressive Tax.

Hmmmm....

Great news! I also finally get paid tomorrow so I think I'll make a stop at your site Brad. I see some 9mm, .40 and .45 in my near future. Perhaps some .30-something if you're lucky :)

Oh, what the heck, I've been thinking about restocking for a while. This must mean it is time.

Brad, I have to tell you- if you take a whole TWO DAYS to get my order out, I just might have to cancel. That is almost as bad as a regular old online merchant!

Right here we have a perfect example of why one should never set the bar high; creates too many expectations.

He does operate with a "higher" standard than most. Not only that, Brad now self insures his product delivery - so you don't have to fuss with USPS if your shipment is lost/damaged - I don't know of any other online merchant offering that level of customer satisfaction service.

Also, keep in mind that Brad has been very straight with us the past year. His current stock of lead alloy will soon run out and when he has to purchase new lead alloy stock, price will reflect the higher market price of lead.

Over the past 15+ years of reloading, I have only seen the price of reloading components go up, NEVER DOWN. Shooting and reloading is my primary hobby (no golf for me) and fortunately, reloading components have a long shelf-life.

I have been planning to stock up on lead bullets with my tax refund before the price increase he clearly stated would happen in the future, but this tax day sale allowed me to order more bullets.

If you reload, I highly recommend you take advantage of Brad's "generous" tax day sale for us THR "High Roadies" before he come back to his senses. Don't say, "Darn, I should have ordered before the price was increased." :D

Too bad about your dealings with the tax man. I would buy more with the discount, but had to write a check to the infernal renewvers that was about 1/3 of my total income. I am getting tired of BOHICA!

bds, I'm pretty sure that Mxracer was being facetious.

Brad, thanks for the offer. I think I will probably take you up on it.

I've been planning on ordering some Missouri Bullets to try for quite some time now, and this finally tipped the scale...

Order sent in a few hours ago, and now I can't sleep due to the anticipation!

I do always enjoy reading these Missouri Bullet threads! It's nice to know that customer service is still alive and well in some parts of the world...

I *knew* there was a reason I was waiting to order a 9mm bullet bundle. :)

Heck, with this discount it's essentially free shipping on that bundle!

I do my income tax ASAP. I start a folder for tax papers the first week in Jan. By mid Feb I have most of what is needed. .Go to the tax accountant when the bookkeeping is completed and have receive 1099 forms etc. If I over estimated the tax due ,the forms are sent in the day it is completed. If I owe $$, the check is mail on the 15th of April..I wont to know if I have spare $$ to spend on the fun thing ASAP.
